Office Coordinators
Whenever you need to make or reschedule an appointment, pay a bill or ask a question regarding your visit, our office coordinators are ready to help. If you have any concerns about what dental services your insurance will cover, you can talk to us in advance to ensure there are no surprises down the line. We can even discuss payment plans to help you get the care you need as soon as possible.
Barb
Originally from Tacoma, Barb now resides in East Renton. She has been working in the dental field since 1990 and joined Dr. Yang’s practice in 2007. She enjoys building personal relationships with patients and getting to know them better with each visit. Assisting patients with financial arrangements, treatment planning, and scheduling are her specialties.
Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her husband and two children, sipping Starbucks, and cheering for the Seahawks.
Melissa
Dentistry is the perfect career for Melissa because she loves learning new things and getting to know people. She graduated from Highline Community College and completed her dental training at Pima Medical Institute. She has been working as a dental assistant since 1998, and since 2007, she has been with Dr. Yang’s practice, working both up front and as a dental assistant. Through regular dental continuing education courses, she stays current with the latest dental technologies and treatments to provide the best care and comfort for patients.
She frequently exchanges recipes, books, and jokes with patients, treating them like extended family. At home, she cares for her husband and three children. Outside of work, she stays active with church, baking, sewing, crafting, and playing in several softball leagues.
Dental Assistants
We will be at your side along with the dentist during your office visit. It is our job to make sure you are comfortable throughout your visit and ensure everything goes smoothly. We fully prepare the room and have everything ready. We also assist during the procedure to ensure your dental work is completed as thoroughly, efficiently, and safely as possible.
Yesenia
Yesenia was born and raised in Oaxaca, Mexico. She graduated from Renton Technical College’s Dental Assistant program in 2015, and has been a team member of the office since 2021. She enjoys working with Dr. Yang to create beautiful and healthy smiles, and loves getting to know her patients and learning something new every day.
She is very proud of her culture and background, and loves visiting her family in Oaxaca, especially during the rainy season when they get the best weather and food. She likes to travel and explore new places. In her free time, she hikes, bikes, and babysits her nephews. She is thankful to live in the Pacific
Ana
Ana has been assisting in dentistry for 5 years. She graduated from the Dental Assisting program at PSSC in Burien in 2020, where she discovered her passion for helping patients feel comfortable and confident in their smiles. She enjoys working in dentistry and is currently studying to become a dental hygienist in the near future.
She loves spending time with her family and friends, visiting relatives in Sinaloa, Mexico, going on walks with her dog, and getting outdoors to explore new hiking spots. She is a big Mariners fan. She values kindness, teamwork, and making every patient’s experience positive.
Leann
Leann was born and raised in Southend, Seattle. She graduated from the Dental Assisting program at Renton Technical College in 2024 and has been working at Dr. Yang’s office since.
Outside of work, Leann enjoys making spontaneous hang out plans with her friends and late night drives.
Dental Hygienists
Routine dental cleanings are encouraged for our patients as a way to prevent cavities and optimize overall health. Our dental hygienists are ready to make you feel at ease throughout your stay and to help you achieve glowing, natural smiles. We will take X-rays, evaluate your teeth and gums, and provide a thorough dental cleaning with homecare instruction. We can help patients resolve hot and cold sensitivity, tender spots, and/or general dental anxiety so they can feel more comfortable throughout the visit.
Renee
Renee knew from a young age that she wanted to make a career in helping people smile. She found dental hygiene to be the perfect path. She graduated with honors from Eastern Washington University with a Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene, and a minor in Health Sciences. She joined Dr. Yang‘s practice in 2010. She values giving a gentle yet thorough cleaning. Her goal is a comprehensive, holistic approach to maintaining a patient's overall health. Beyond the office, she is married to her high school sweetheart and they have two boys. They have become avid pickleball players and play every chance they get! During the summer, they spend as much time as possible at their family lake house in Wenatchee.
Claudia
Claudia graduated from dental hygiene school in 2014. She was born in Mexico and grew up locally. Claudia now resides in the Hobart area of Maple Valley and is married with three young kids. They also have two dogs and a kitty. Her hobbies include running, cycling, and spending as much family time as possible. Claudia has been a part of the dental care community for over a decade and looks forward to many more years in the industry.
Jamie
After graduating from Pierce College Dental Hygiene program in 2005, Jamie was thrilled to find a place on Dr. Yang‘s dental team in 2009. What she loves most about the office is building and nurturing relationships with patients over many years. Outside of work, Jamie and her husband are raising two teenagers and two little dogs in Maple Valley. They love to travel as much as possible, more recently on road trips throughout the Northwest in their motorhome. Her hobbies include learning to sew and listening to audiobooks and podcasts. When the kids were preschoolers, she made the decision to step away from dental hygiene for a few years to focus on motherhood. Now
that they're teenagers, she’s thrilled, once again, to have the opportunity to return to dental hygiene and re-join Dr. Yang‘s team of caring providers.
Daniela
Daniela was born and raised in Romania, and moved to Seattle during the fall season of 2007. She began her dental career in 2009 after completing the Dental Assisting program at Renton Technical College. She later moved to California and earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Dental Hygiene. In 2020, she returned to the Pacific Northwest—drawn back by the “magnet” that is this wonderful place.
Each morning, she is grateful to walk into a workplace where she can truly be herself. She loves building and nurturing relationships with patients, helping them feel comfortable and confident about their oral health. With the support of Dr. Yang and the incredible dental team, she is committed to treating every patient with professionalism and compassion, while educating them on how to maintain a healthy smile and improve their overall well-being.
When she is not in the clinic or attending continuing education courses, she can be found hiking mountain trails to recharge. She spends her weekends in her kitchen, as baking and cooking are her favorite forms of therapy. She also has a soft spot for houseplants, red wine, and her beautiful Persian cat Sissy.
