Jessica

Dr. Tsukamoto takes pride in creating beautiful smiles and helping her patients to achieve and maintain good oral health. She loves to see the positive effects that a healthy smile can have on a person’s well-being and overall quality of life.

Dr. Tsukamoto was born and raised on the island of Oahu in beautiful Hawaii. As the daughter of a general dentist and dental hygienist, she always admired the lifelong friendships and relationships her parents cultivated through caring for patients in their family practice. She grew up attending dental conventions and spent summers working in her father’s office as a dental assistant and receptionist, learning about different aspects of the field along the way. With this unique foundation in dentistry, she decided to follow her parents into the profession that perfectly blends her love of science, art, and caring for others.

Dr. Tsukamoto is a graduate of Iolani School in Honolulu and the University of California at Los Angeles. After achieving a Bachelor of Science in Biology and minor in East Asian Languages, she worked as a research associate for a Honolulu-based biotechnology startup in an effort to develop an artificial human cornea. In 2007, Dr. Tsukamoto moved to Seattle to attend the University of Washington School of Dentistry where she earned her Doctorate of Dental Surgery. She received a four-year merit scholarship from the state of Hawaii and the Quintessence Award for Clinical Achievement in Restorative Dentistry upon graduation.

A commitment to providing the best possible care motivates Dr. Tsukamoto to continue her dental education through lectures at local study clubs, conferences, and by taking several advanced training courses at the Kois Center in Seattle. She is a certified Invisalign® provider and a member of the American Dental Association (ADA), Washington State Dental Association, and Seattle King County Dental Society. Throughout her professional career, she has also provided on-call dental support to International Community Health Services, a non-profit that provides medical and dental services to diverse and often underserved populations in King County.

Outside of work, Dr. Tsukamoto loves spending time with her family and friends, exploring the wonders of the Pacific Northwest with her husband and daughter, trying new restaurants, and staying active. She enjoys kickboxing and step classes, dancing (Hula, Tahitian, and Salsa), and competing in several volleyball leagues.
